Our typical session is 4 - 6 weeks and will follow the following guidelines for lesson topics. For shorter sessions the lessons will be compressed into fewer weeks.
Week 1: - Orientation to the sport of curling: objective, scoring, positions, very basic etiquette.
Week 2: - Review balance but focus on alignment.
Week 3: - Review balance and alignment but focus on grip and release.
Week 4: - Review prior week topics but focus on weight control
Week 5: - Review prior week topics but focus on sweeping.
Week 6: - Focus on strategy, full game.
This schedule is adjusted based on the needs of the participants each session and is only meant to serve as a guideline.
Registration will open in the
fall for our next season.
