Becoming a Member

Eligibility

If you have completed one of our Curling Experience learn to curl classes or you have curling experience from another club you are eligible for Bucks County Curling Club membership.  

Regular Leagues

We have weekly leagues that meet weekly typically for 12 consecutive weeks.  The leagues are open to both women and men of any experience except for our Tuesday night league which has a minimum experience requirement.  Typical leagues meet once a week.  League options run from Sunday to Thursday nights with the addition of a Doubles league on Sunday afternoon.  
Our experienced members love to share their passion for the sport and are supportive and patient with new members.  You will always find someone willing to help you on and off the ice with your game.   You will always find lively and inclusive discussion in the warmroom after each game as we uphold the tradition of broomstacking.  

Instructional League

Once you have completed your Curling Experience learn to curl class it is suggested that novice curlers join a regular league.  Your experienced teammates in your league will welcome you into the club and help you learn the game.  If you would like a bit more support we offer a 3 week instructional league.  Each week is focused on developing a different aspect of the game.  The first half of each week is focused on drills and skill development.  The second half of each week is a shortened game under the instructors' guidance.  The instructional leagues typically meet every other Saturday mornings so participants have time to apply each lesson in their regular league.  The instructional league is only $10 if added to a primary league and $60 on its own.

Annual Membership

We have an annual membership of $120.  The annual membership has many benefits.
Membership Benefits:
  • Eligibility to participate in BCCC Leagues for the year (September to September each season).
  • Membership in the United States Curling Association (USCA).
  • Membership in the Grand National Curling Club (GNCC) our regional curling association.
  • Membership in the United States Women’s Curling Association (USWCA) if eligible.
  • Eligibility to participate in friendlies and bonspiels as a Bucks member.
  • Eligibility to utilize practice ice time.
  • New members receive a free club name-tag.

Fee Structure

As a private nonprofit volunteer run sports club, a 501(C)7, our club fees are reasonable and aimed at ensuring the club's ongoing success while promoting the sport in the local community.   Our leagues are generally priced at $20 per game.  Our other events such as in house bonspiels and friendlies with other clubs are often even more reasonable priced than our leagues.  Check out our current registration on our webpage.
